Thank to all in the Bloomingdale community for a successful fundraiser! Special thanks to our generous friends and neighbors, and to these local businesses for their support of the Crispus Attucks Park:
Join Crispus Attucks Park Sunday, November 1, 3-6pm for a cocktail party and fundraiser! Have a fun afternoon with your neighbors–and bring your checkbook :)!
Come and get the latest updates about Crispus Attucks Park, and enjoy a raffle, tasty bites to eat, cocktails, a raffle, and the company of your friendly neighbors! If you would like to volunteer during the fundraiser or donate to the raffle, please let us know!
Crispus Attucks Park is operated and maintained by CADC, a non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers and park neighbors. Crispus Attucks Park is fully open to the public, but it is not a city park and receives NO money from the government. 100% of donated funds go directly to the protection, maintenance, upkeep and development of the park. Your support is critical to ensure Crispus Attucks Park remains an inviting green space for the entire community!
Can’t make the fundraiser, but still want to support Crispus Attucks Park? Donate securely anytime on the website.
Hope to see you there!
Join us this Friday, September 18, in Crispus Attucks Park to watch The Long, Hot Summer. This is the next installment of Bloomy Nights, our summer movie series in Crispus Attucks Park! Bloomy Nights is brought to us by Natural Red and DJ Redds.
No need to trek to the National Mall for a screen on the green! Bring your blanket and join us on the great lawn of Crispus Attucks Park for a movie night experience that will be the talk of Bloomingdale. You are welcome to bring a picnic, a blanket or low-to-the-ground chair, and non-alcoholic beverages.
In the event of inclement weather, the movie night will be canceled, and the movie will be shown at a later date.
Crispus Attucks Park doesn’t manage itself! Join us at the next quarterly meeting of Crispus Attucks Development Corporation to get an update on current operations, and share your input on how to make the Park better!
We hope you will join us!
Thank you for helping make the Bloomingdale Community Day in Crispus Attucks Park such a huge success! Last weekend’s event was the most successful ever for the park–we nearly doubled the amount raised over last year, which to then, had been our most successful year ever. We hope everyone enjoyed their neighbors, friends and family on a beautiful day!
The Community Day is Bloomingdale’s largest annual event only because of the participation of so many neighborhood residents. Thanks to the DC Boys Choir, the over 40 Yard Sale vendors (hope folks were able to find hidden gems!), and the community organizations who shared information.
We want to single out for special appreciation the local restaurants that participated in the Taste of Bloomingdale. These restaurants donated both their food and their time: all proceeds from ticket sales went to Crispus Attucks Park, not the restaurants. And their participation also helped make the Community Day the unique event it is!
We also want to thank our sponsors. Please thank them for their support of Crispus Attucks Park next time you patronize them!
All the fun make you want to get more involved in Crispus Attucks Park? Join us for our next quarterly meeting!
