Keeping It Green – Crispus Attucks Park

Let’s face it, the lawn is the most important feature of our park. Every year, the Crispus Attucks Development Corporation (CADC) nonprofit board spends over $8,000 for lawn care and landscaping to keep it beautiful for all.

The park is now more popular than ever before, and the increased wear and tear has taken its toll. There is a plan to correct the damage to the grass, but we need to raise $17,000 to cover the work. Please consider donating a little extra this year to fund the campaign for the soil reconditioning and re-sodding of the lawn.

DONATE TODAY TO HELP KEEP IT GREEN!

The CADC is an ENTIRELY VOLUNTEER non-profit organization. All maintenance and upkeep of  Crispus Attucks Park is paid for entirely by the CADC Board and generous friends of the park like you.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT!

Tis’ the Season in Crispus Attucks Park

Crispus Attucks Development Corporation (CADC) wishes you a very Happy Holiday Season!

We have recently deck our halls – have you? It truly is a dazzling time of year in the Park!

Many thanks for all those who made the park look so beautiful early in December and just in time to create a little winter wonderland topped off with the sparkling lights. And a huge heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our fundraising campaigns throughout the year – we cannot do this with you!

We are proud to say that in 2017 – it has been a very busy and productive year. New trees and flower beds were planted, new park signs were installed, and plans for the new retaining wall are underway to be completed in spring of 2018. There was the Taste of Bloomingdale, The ‘Bloomie Nights’ Music and Movies summer series as well as park beautification days. And, as you may have noticed more private events than ever.

Crispus Attucks Development Corporation (CADC) is an all-volunteer organization which owns and manages Crispus Attucks Park. CADC is governed by a Board of Directors  — who in conjunction with the neighbors, the volunteers and the sponsors maintain and support the park and all its programs throughout the year.

Our plans for 2018 are just beginning, let Crispus Attucks Park be part of your New Year resolutions to get involved in the neighborhood! Cheers to healthy and Happy New Year for everyone! And, as always Thank You!
