Bloomingdale Community Day is Back May 21!

The Bloomingdale Community Day, now in its 18th year, is Bloomingdale’s biggest annual community event and the largest fundraiser for Crispus Attucks Park.

• When: Saturday, May 21, 9 am – 3 pm
• Where: Crispus Attucks Park

Featuring:

• Taste of Bloomingdale: Food and drink from local restaurants!
• The Community Yard Sale: Bloomingdale’s biggest yard sale with over 30 sellers in 2019!
• Local Information: Area nonprofits and businesses all in one place and sharing their information!
• Kids Activities: Art, Face Painting, and more!
• Music: A band (check back for the headliner) 
• And, back by popular demand, a Dog Show!

Schedule of Events

9 am:  “Taste of Bloomingdale” breakfast (Lunch from 11:30 until the food sells out!)

• Coffee and goodies from beloved local restaurants

9 am:  Snack Stand (until 3pm)

• Beverages, homemade donuts, cookout favorites, and more

9 am:  Yard Sale (until 3pm)

• Bargain finds from neighbors, art and craft from local artists and artisans, and representatives from community orgs

9 am:  Yoga (until 10:15am)

• Get Zen with Yoga from Yoga District!

9 am:  KIDS CORNER by Mango Street (until 2:30pm)

• 9 – 9:25:  Cosmic Compost Yoga (for kids!) with Daniela Ochoa.
• 9 -11:30:  Art for kids I
• Drawing ginormous nests and folding ginormous birds with Mango Street and Miriam Juliana
• Exploring Crispus Attucks Park through the eyes of the late DC artist Alma Thomas.
• 11:30 – 1:30:  Face painting with Mimi

11 am:  Live music performances (until 2:30pm)

• A cavalcade of local talent entertains while you mingle with neighbors

11:30 am:  “Taste of Bloomingdale” lunch (until 3:00pm or the food sells out!)

• Mouthwatering small plates from beloved local restaurants

1pm:  Dog show (until 2:00pm)

• Enter your pooch in up to four contest categories
